Vancouver, BC

School District #39

The Vancouver School District is among the most diverse public school systems in Canada with an annual enrolment of approximately 50,000 students in Kindergarten to grade 12. In addition, the Vancouver School District provides educational programs and services to full-time Adult Education students.

Vancouver schools are involved in a wide range of partnerships with cultural, arts, and service organizations. The district also offers a multitude of services and program options to meet student interests and needs.

Richmond, BC

School District #38

The Richmond School District (SD38) is a vibrant learning community that fosters students’ engagement, creativity, and well-being in inclusive learning environments. 

Our district has 20,000 students who learn in 38 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools and other educational settings. All of our schools provide instruction based on provincial curriculum and assessment requirements. We also offer a variety of programs within our schools ranging from French Immersion and Montessori to International Baccalaureate.

Burnaby, BC

School District #41

The Burnaby School District is the fourth largest in BC. The District operates 41 elementary and eight secondary schools, including a range of district programs and Provincial Resource Programs.

The District enrols 25,000 K-12 students, and employs 4,000 dedicated employees who are committed to providing all students with a wide variety of innovative, high-quality programs to ensure student achievement in areas that include academics, athletics, trades training, visual and performing arts, and more.

Surrey, BC

School District #36

Formed in 1906, the Surrey School District currently has the largest student enrolment in British Columbia and is one of the few growing districts in the province. It is governed by a publicly elected board of seven trustees.

The district serves the cities of Surrey and White Rock and the rural area of Barnston Island.

School District #34

Located in the heart of the Fraser Valley, the Abbotsford School District has 46 schools that are attended by over 19,200 full and part time students at 30 elementary schools, 8 middle schools, 1 combined middle-secondary school, and 7 secondary schools.
